In his book A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, author and teacher Eckhart Tolle suggests that what we are experiencing now is a call to awaken - a call felt individually and collectively. He says that at this point in time we basically have two choices, evolve or die...
If we look around us we can see that r-evolution is a choice that many people are making; by demonstrating that they want something different - and are ready to do something about it.
As we watch the incredible scenes unfold all over the world we may find ourselves asking some important questions, such as - how am I personally called to act as I awaken, and what is the 'something' I could do to make a difference? as Tolle says...

How do we respond to the call?
The quote of the year for 2011 is said to be this "we are the 99%"...
This comes from Occupy, the movement that is sweeping the western world - surprising and inspiring many people from all walks of life with its powerful message of protest, but also of hope for a new future.
Out of the vibrant melting pot created by people just showing up - to be together - to participate and to do something about the situation we all face in the world, there comes a new impetus for people to be the change they wanted to see - by living and working in ways that are meaningful , ways that make a difference.
At the Occupy conference many people talked about the scale of the task of deciding what they could do to make a difference - one of the top 25 quotes was simply this...
"reduce everything you want to do - to an action
you can do right now" (Jason Randal)
So I ask you...
What is it that you want to do?
Where are you moved to act?
What can you do about that right now?
About 18 months ago I found myself seriously asking myself these questions, and to cut a long story short, I felt like I had to just stop doing what I was doing, take some time out, take stock and see what it was I was supposed to be doing.. .
so I left my job as a senior consultant in a university, walked six hundred miles alone in pilgrimage across Northern Spain, wrote a book about that experience, and then began to pull together what I believe to be the beginnings work I am called to do - work that has the potential to make a difference - to me, to my family and to all my colleagues I work with - who share a common wish to live and work in alignment with deeper values and goals.
After returning from this journey - I pulled apart all my learnings and put them back together in new ways, sharing and experimenting with what I had learned with my students and clients - it was they who helped me to make the material into something that made sense - something I could share more widely...
I have called this work in its entirety New Earth Consulting - because the aim for me now is to make myself and this work available to people who may be able to use it. My wish is to contribute where I can to supporting and developing those people who are ready to step up and bring forth their own authentic contribution to creating the New Earth that Eckhart Tolle and many other visionaries have been talking about. I am delighted to be able to share this work with you now, so that our individual endeavours can interconnect, take root and coexist together, and the new ways of living and working can flourish...

The course is called NINE because the number nine resonates with a deep sense we have of the time it takes to conceive and nurture our most valued creations. During that time of gestation, we grow personally, develop professionally, and learn how to bring forth our passion within truly authentic work that makes a difference to ourselves and others.
NINE is a programme of personal and project development designed to support this process of personal growth and project development. It offers a unique opportunity to come together into circle with like minded peers who are ready and willing to challenge and inspire each other towards realisation of their potential, their dreams.
This would be nine whole months to focus on yourself and your project, so you can finally make your contribution to the area of challenge you care about - be it an issue, an innovation, or development of a new and radically different way of doing things.
What I am talking about is unleashing your creative brilliance, latent energy and deep motivation to succeed, supported by a host and guest facilitators whose passion and purpose it is to make that happen...

A flavour of my work...
My passion has always been to work at the interface between people and expression of their purpose, pursued through my work as an consultant, practitioner, researcher and facilitator.
My work reflects principles of Sacred Activism, which is defined as … "a transforming force of compassion-in-action that is born of a fusion of deep spiritual knowledge, courage, love, and passion, with wise radical action in the world". This idea of embodying higher values and principles, and pursuing personal growth has always been important to me - more recently however I have felt called to contribute by way of my own actions towards making some difference to the issues I see all around me in the world - of doing something personally... Andrew Harvey's description of Sacred Activism encapsulates this aspiration, and offers a means of acting upon it practically.
